NEP1986

The NEP 1986 was a policy document formulated by the Government of India to provide guidance and direction for the development of education in India. The policy aimed to improve the quality of education, increase access to education, and promote the development of a knowledge-based society.

Some of the key features of the NEP 1986 included the establishment of a national system of education, the promotion of adult education and non-formal education, the introduction of new vocational education programs, and the strengthening of teacher education and training.

It's worth noting that the NEP 1986 was replaced by the National Education Policy of 2020, which was approved by the Government of India in July 2020. The NEP 2020 seeks to transform the education system in India and make it more responsive to the needs of the 21st century.
